Daniel Sarmiento

Professor of EU Law, Universidad Complutense de Madrid

Daniel is Professor of EU Law at the University Complutense of Madrid, as well as of counsel at the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez, where he practises EU Law in areas such as internal market law, competition, banking and litigation before EU courts. He was a legal secretary at the Court of Justice of the EU (2007-2015) and an advisor at the Spanish Ministry of the Presidency (2004-2006). He has written extensively on EU Law issues in academic journals, international press and in his blog on EU Law, Despite our Differences.
